I found a Chinese article that was translated from a Korean article I assume. Translations once again done by me, therefore it will be as accurate as possible but may have mistake.
Presumably Korean Drama fans remember in “Goong” the princes first love Min HyoRin, thats right, she is Korean celebrity Song JiHyo’s start to fame.
In recent years Song JiHyo in variety show “Running Man”has left a changing image to the audience. Many fans of the show say that Song JiHyo works very hard , is straightforward and has no care for her image to the extent of appearing fresh face on screen. These changes, to Song Jihyo, were they a challenge or a chance? Recently Song JiHyo accepted an interview, revealing the initial intentions to joining a variety show.
"Truthfully a long time ago I had figured out my personality but the first time starring in Running Man I realised then in front of men I am really shy."Song JiHyo shares.
Song JiHyo during the show would occasionally be called “Mong JiHyo” but also on occasion she would show a leadership quality, from then she was the “Ace” of a team to then extent young children call her “mini president”
"Running Man" to Song JiHyo, is a show that was a chance and a challenge. "She smilingly shares, "At the start, I would think of my image in dramas and that felt a bit weird" Quite a few of the audience believe that the real Song JiHyo is displayed in the Song JiHyo in Running Man. However to adapt to the shows atmosphere she has had to put in some effort.
"When I debut with "Whispering Corridor" it was a story full of girls but now most of my film projects are with more male actors. Film fans have commented " Now Song JiHyo is a real woman" "Is Song JiHyo a fox?" etc. When we started "Runnging Man " I was the only girl, therefore was given special treatment. Now? just watch the show and you would know!"
How did Song JiHyo manage to adapt in a forever changing variety show and to then develop to an indispensable female leader, is difficult to imagine.
"I used a year to get used to using friend terms with JongKook oppa, truthfully as the start even a "oppa" was difficult, it was the same with Haha and Gary. The audience often hear on the show Oppa/Hyung from one side and Unnie/Noona from the other but after filming, juniors would go back to referring to a respectful "senior". However after about a year, unconsciously me and the members became like a family and became really close. Now when filming we use a very casual terms, "really? ok, I know (balmal)" thats when the show changed even more interesting."
Song JiHyo states that she hopes that when the audience will watch her star in variety and also in drama and films, they would watch it like a filming project. “Many people aske why is a actress doing a variety show, each time I get asked this I feel slightly embarrassed. I personally think that actors and variety stars should be made so differently, a variety show is filmed for people to enjoy that is the same as watching a tv drama every day, the morals behind it are different but watching it with a light heart will be ok. I will also work hard to show another side of me to the audience and not hide anything.
It may be due to her “baby face” Song JiHyo does not look like a woman over 30, Those who are not familiar with her often flog on to the internet commenting. believing Song JiHyo from Running Man is a carefree 85er (born in 85) “recently been drinking quite often, work is always very busy, not enough time to take care of myself, My skin conditions have turned quite bad, don’t have time to sleep and sometimes would catch up sleep during makeup time. but thankfully my current jobs are not stressful.
In regards to marriage, Song JiHyo honestly says that since she turned 30 she has started to think about marriage, but currently have no plans. She reveals that recently had a conversation with Kim HeeSun that had touched her, “She was talking about her own daughter, Seniors (Kim HeeSun) said that she was the oldest in her family. My parents had me in their twenties, so now they are still healthy but even if I had children now, I would be 50 to be able to see them at 20 years old, these thought make me think about marriage.”
